The following is a guide only and assumes you are feeding 75% meat and 25% veggies. The best way to determine how much to feed your dog is to start with the suggested amounts, and then monitor your dogs weight over the next couple of weeks. It is not necessary to weigh him – just feel his ribs. They should feel somewhat like the back of your hand – you should definitely be able to feel them. Now imagine him with no fur – you don’t want to be able to see his ribs.
If he has too much padding on his ribs, cut his food down a little; if he seems too thin, feed him a little more. Over time you will figure out how much to feed. A week or two will not do him in!
4.5 kg and under (10 lbs) 75 – 125 g/day
